Here is today's painting "My Little Red Barn" 7" x 7", oil on canvas. I like painting barns. I grew up in a farming community in central Illinois. There are a lot of barn scenes there. There are also alot barn scenes in Arkansas. I'm sure you will see more of these little ones. SOLD

Horses were a big part of my life as a child. I guess that's why I paint them. We lived next to a horseshoeing school and a stable. I rode some but stopped when I saw someone get hurt. SOLD

childhood memories

I love painting things that remind me of my childhood. The iris were always such a big part of my life. My Mother had a beautiful Iris garden in her front lawn. When I painted this I thought of her so she got it for her 90th birthday present. My sister wants a copy and I'll probably be painting one for ebay.
